• * Have a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization
• Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years (Ask your instructor about Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses). • We know how busy your schedules can be. If the dates or times don't work for you, just let us know & we will do our absolute best to find a schedule that works for you!
One of the most important things a diver can do for themselves, is take a refresher in the pool!
Got a vacation coming up? Want to get into diving again? Have some new or newly serviced equipment you want to test out? Then we have a very simple and fun solution for you.
You or a small group, will get your own Divemaster or Instructor. Often our amazng Divemaster Tim Krump!
At the pool a staff member will go over setting up your gear and cover some of the main skills (clearing a full mask, emergency swimming ascent, regulator recovery, alternate air source use with a buddy and hovering).
They can also answer many of the questions you may have...and give you some extra pointers.
This DOES include the use of all gear needed (except mask) for your fun pool night.
We schedule these usually when we also have our beginner classes going. This saves you money as pool rentals are usually expensive. Just ask for our Open Water flyer for scheduling...or go to our begining Open Water scuba class section on this/our website.
PS: We have heard of and seen many people, whose dive vacations were fun or not, based on the fact that they did this refresher class!
Diving skills erode...but they come back quickly!
Do this in the comfort of a pool before you venture out to the open water!
You'll be glad you did! Thanks! You will also have a great time in the process!
If you like to help with new students, lead dives, help other divers and want a very rewarding challenge, then the Dive Master program could be for you.
Your first professional diver level, Salem Scuba's Divemasters have been some of our most valuable and needed people! And now many of these Divemasters help with all classes...now run thru Liquid Earth Scuba.
There's also financial & social benifits and more!
To take/begin their Divemaster course, you must:
* Be 18 or older
* Completed Rescue Diver Course
* Current CPR & First Aid
* Min. of 50 logged dives.
Emergency First Responder/ O2 Provider
