Underwater Pumpkin Carving for Halloween with Salem Scuba

Looking for a new and ‘unique’ way to carve your Halloween Pumpkins?

Join Salem Scuba D.E. & A. and Johanas and Co. for a new ‘twist’ on pumpkin carving… If you’re still carving your pumpkin on land … it’s time to take it up a notch and carve your pumpkin underwater!

That’s right! We take the whole pumpkin on a dive with us, before we make our first cut.

If you’d like to join us, we will be meeting at Whalen Island, in Pacific City, on October 28th 2023 for our 3rd Annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving contest!

We had a great time last year and are super excited for another chance for people to show off their pumpkin carving talents!

Once we are done carving and diving, we will vote on the pumpkins with prizes provided by Salem Scuba and also share a potluck.

If you’d like to join this event, the following is a list of what you should bring.

• $10 Parking Fee
• Your pumpkin! 🙂
• Carving Utensil(s)
• Spoon, or some type of scraper to clean out the pumpkin innards
• Mesh bag for those pumpkin innards…
• Your dive gear!
• Potluck item that you would like to share
