DESCRIPTION:
To become a PADI MSDT, you must certify at least 25 PADI Divers and hold at least 5 PADI Specialty Instructor ratings. Instead of waiting until you have issued 25 certifications to become eligible to teach Specialties, our program sets you up to immediately teach Specialties, in order to help you reach the 25 certifications requirement to become a PADI MSDT.
As a PADI MSDT, you’re increasing your marketability as you demonstrate to the SCUBA industry, and to your students, that you are seriously excited about Diver Continuing Education. Additionally, MSDT is a step up the PADI professional ladder and is a prerequisite to becoming a PADI IDC Staff Instructor.
As a PADI IDC Candidate, you’re on your way to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) – credentialed to teach the PADI core curriculum. You’ve already realized that there are valuable Specialty Courses you want to be able to teach, And, you’ll want to be able to teach these as soon as possible. Note: if you’re a newer PADI OWSI, who doesn’t hold any Specialty Instructor ratings yet, but wants to become credentialed, in order to meet the MSDT requirements, then this program is also for you.
The Salem Scuba, PADI MSDT Prep Program is designed to credential you to teach 5 of the most frequently requested, fun, and highly valuable PADI Specialties. AND, you can teach these specialties, as soon as your paperwork is processed, after you successfully complete the PADI IE. Often, our PADI, Gold Level Course Director, Bruce, will work with you to include 1 or 2 extra Specialties (at no additional tuition cost), that are best designed, just for you.
You can count on Bruce to dive right in and share his experience, as he teaches these courses. He will review the Specialty Instructor Guides, covering the foundational knowledge, plus share his tried-and-true, successful techniques for organizing the practical activities. Thus ensuring that your students enjoy their time as they learn from you. During this MSDT Trainer Prep Program, you will demonstrate skills, teach selected segments of knowledge development, and conduct parts of Open Water training sessions.
